st george island surf Fishing Report

went out on the 26th and the fog was insane. felt like i was in a mystery movie haha. managed to catch a couple of ladyfish but mostly just enjoyed the quietness. fog rolled in and out, made for a cool vibe. fishing is always an adventure.

fished this morning on May 21st, got soaked by rain but we got some nice black drum. it was crazy windy too, had to hold on tight! was using cut bait and they were hungry. looking forward to sunnier days ahead!

May 20th, went out despite some patchy rain. didn't catch much but it was still nice just being out there. had my favorite rod, a Shimano with a Penn reel. rain came and went but the water temp was nice. brought a coffee, so can’t complain too much!

went fishing on the 18th, clouds everywhere. couldn’t see the sunset but the fishing was good! caught a few small snapper and one keeper. wind was at 19 km/h so had to work a bit more but it was worth it. everyone on the beach was hooked too!

my buddy and i went out on May 15th, the surf was choppy but we managed to land 3 nice flounder. the water was warm enough at 23.3, used live mullet. lost a big one tho, oh man. really fun day overall, can’t wait to go back.
