island beach state park Fishing Report

fished at island beach state park today, cloudy skies but not too bad. got on the water around 6am when the sun was just peeking out. brought my trusty surf rod and tossed some clams out there. felt pretty chill, light wind at 14 km/h, perfect for casting. had a few bites but only managed to catch 1 striper around 24 inches. it was a decent fight, took me by surprise! released it back after a quick pic. overall not a crazy day but still good vibes. gonna try again tomorrow, maybe the weather will be better! tight lines everybody.
