long island surf Fishing Report

went out after work, partly cloudy, not too chilly. landed a few small stripers and tossed em back. had a nice night, just soaking in the surf. used a jerkbait, and they seemed to like it tonight, fun times!

another day of fishing but the weather wasn’t great, some light drizzle. caught one big bluefish though, around 5 lbs! was using a metal spoon, and it was awesome when it hit. can’t complain about one good catch!

what a sunny day! went out in the morning with my buddy, and we had a blast. saw tons of bunker schools, and managed to hook a decent striper about 25 inches! used a popper, and it was explosive! best morning in a while!

overcast again, but fished in the afternoon. man, that wind was brutal! caught a bunch of small sea bass, nothing worth keeping though. tried using shrimp but seemed like they were just nibbling, not committing. frustrating!

hit the beach this morning, some light rain but we went anyway! it paid off, landed a couple of nice fluke, one was 18 inches! used a bucktail jig, they were hitting hard. the rain made it refreshing honestly.
