anna maria island Fishing Report

sick day out on the water, even with those downpours. caught a bunch of trout and some keeper snapper. got soaked but the fish were biting hard! used popping corks again, always a good choice. can’t wait to go back!

fishing in the rain was totally worth it! landed 3 nice tarpon and had a few break off. they’re so strong! used live mullet this time around, they just couldn’t resist. definitely a wet but exhilarating trip!

overcast again but we decided to head out! caught about 10 ladyfish and a couple more reds! all on spoons, they love it when it’s cloudy. wind was up a little, but we made it work. solid day overall.

hit the pier today, weather was kinda sketchy with some rain on and off. still managed to reel in a nice 20-inch grouper! used cut squid on bottom rigs. the fight was awesome! felt great to be out there even with the rain.

went out this morning, pretty overcast but that didn’t stop the fish from biting! i ended up with 5 mangrove snapper and a couple of flounder. caught them using my favorite jigs. mix of sizes, good eatin for dinner!
