south padre island jetties Fishing Report

another overcast day, but the wind was crazy! had a hard time keeping the boat steady. caught some big reds but man that was a workout. used a whole pinfish for bait. ready for calmer days!

rain was coming down hard, but we hit the jetties anyway! fish were biting like crazy! caught 5 nice trout, was soaked but so worth it. used soft plastics and they were all over it. best day of the week!

was a good day at the jetties, caught a couple of keeper flounder but lost a bigger one! the water felt pretty good too, not as windy as expected. using a fish finder rig with shrimp. can't complain!

didn't let the clouds stop us! caught 4 nice snapper by the rocks, they were hitting on live bait. weather was rough, but worth it. my buddy got a nice 6lb one and we grilled it tonight. yum!

overcast again today, man! but we braved the wind. i lost a huge flounder right at the pier. used a gulp jerkbait, maybe next time! still brought home 2 smaller ones and had a blast.
