barnegat bay Fishing Report

cloudy skies but we had a blast out there! caught 6 nice blues today, biggest was around 18 inches. used some lures that have been my go-to lately, couldn't get away from those fish! even with the wind, it turned out to be a good day on the water.

the rain just won’t quit! hit the bay again with the hopes of catching something decent but just got a couple nibbles. gave up after a while and packed it in early. honestly just looking forward to sunnier days, cause barnegat is usually on fire this time of year!

ugh, such a miserable day for fishing. heavy rain and winds up to 28 km/h... still tried my luck though. only caught one tiny perch. couldn't even enjoy the scenery, was soaked head to toe. maybe next time will be better with the weather!

today wasn’t bad, had some clouds but fished the bay for a couple hours. caught a few small blues, nothing huge but at least it was nice to get out. 13 degrees felt cold though! still worth it to be on the water, right?

had a decent outing at Toms River. moderate rain on and off. managed to catch a nice 5 lb bass on a frog lure! the wind was chill, but it cleared up for a while. started feeling like spring finally, can’t wait for more sun next week!
