lake erie western basin Fishing Report

ugh, overcast again! went out this morning, but just couldn’t get a good bite. tried everything in my tackle box. only caught a couple small ones. oh well, it was still nice to be out on the water!

another rainy day on the lake. still, got a few bites! caught 3 catfish using cut bait. the wind picked up a bit, made it tricky to stay in one spot. but hey, it was fun being out there!

cloudy day and water temp was cool, but I went out anyway. caught a nice 5lb bass, it was a fighter! used a topwater frog and it was thrilling to see it hit the surface. I love this time of year

went out despite the heavy rain, what was I thinking? lol! only managed to catch one small guy, but my line snapped on another huge one! better luck next time. also, the waves were a bit wild

had a tough day with the rain coming down most the time. my rain gear was soaked! I caught 2 decent bass but lost a big one right at the boat. using a crankbait was the ticket, just wish the weather was nicer
