staten island Fishing Report

fished off staten island today, it was kinda gloomy but the fish were biting! caught 5 stripers, biggest was around 25 inches, pretty solid for this time of year. used a live bunker, they were hitting it hard. there was a light breeze which made it comfortable. so glad I didn't bail on going out. planning to hit the pier again this weekend. might try some topwater lures if the weather stays nice.
