rhode island saltwater Fishing Report

ugh today was tough, crazy winds and chilly! chased some mackerel but they weren’t around. i just sat and fished for a while and caught a couple small fluke. not much else to say, weather was not on our side, better luck next time!

hit the water again, weather was nice, patchy rain here and there. caught some nice 10-12 inch sea robins, not huge but fun to catch! used a light rod with 4lb test, they put up a good fight! good practice before the big stripers come in.

fished the bay today, similar weather as yesterday. really chill vibes. caught a few scup, they were biting on shrimp. didn’t get skunked so that's a win! just a relaxing day, can't complain when you're on the water with friends.

another overcast day for us but hey, fish gotta eat, right? went with my dad out by the pier, caught 2 decent sea bass. used squid for bait, kinda slow but we had good convo. really nice to just be out on the water! sunset was pretty too.

man it was POURING! but we braved the weather and hit the salt. started catchin some blues on the troll, got soaked but it was worth it. used a couple of rapala plugs, they just couldn’t resist. ended up with 4 nice blues! had fun despite the rain.
