zipple bay Fishing Report

finally got back out on the water after all that rain. cloudy with a bit of wind, 17.4C. caught 4 smallmouths! used a green pumpkin jig, they were hungry today. really made my day, even though it was a bit chilly!

fished this past weekend, it was overcast but not too windy. temp was around 15.2C. managed to catch 3 decent catfish on cut bait. like 2-3 lbs each, so that was a nice surprise! coulda been better tho, but hey, still fun overall

fished in the overcast, kinda cool day at zipple bay. caught a few perch and missed a big one. used my trusty 6' spinning rod with 8lb test, shoulda brought some heavier gear. oh well, good practice just being out there

so it was cloudy when we hit zipple bay, temp was a chilly 10.4C. not much action, just a few bites on spinners. ended up with like 2 small bass. guess they weren’t in the mood today, but it was nice to be out anyway!

ahhhh what a day, rained like crazy but we braved it anyway. landed 10 sunfish, size was all over tho. biggest was like 1 lb. used a fly rod with a nymph pattern, they were coming up for it despite the rain. tired but happy!
