saginaw bay Fishing Report

may 26 was a weird one, fog all day but i managed to get a few decent perch. used live bait, and it actually worked! the fog kept things quiet, so it was kinda peaceful out there. can’t wait to get back to saginaw!

hit the bay on may 23rd, and it was pretty foggy! didn’t even see a bite. tried my luck with some spinners and crankbaits for a few hours, nada. still had fun though, just chillin on the water. definetly gonna try again next week.

just got back from saginaw bay on may 22nd. it rained on and off, so fishing was tough. snagged a few bluegills but nothing major. just a lot of waiting. got drenched but hey, it was still nice to be outdoors. hope it clears up soon!

sunny day on may 12! finally! caught 4 nice walleye, biggest was 4 lbs. fished with a jig and minnow combo, they were lovin it! felt good to be out in the sun, got a nice tan too lol. might head back out tomorrow, fingers crossed.

another overcast day on may 3rd. fished from my kayak, didn't catch much, just a couple small bass. water temp is really low, thinkin they’re still in winter mode or something. used jigs but they weren’t biting. gonna try again soon.
