ausable river ny Fishing Report

went out again, water still kinda cold but caught 4 decent trout on a brown trout lure! they were biting pretty good today, lucky to hit the river on a nice overcast day! hope it stays like this!

another rainy day on the river! caught a couple of little guys but nothing to write home about. water was cold and the wind was strong. still had a good time just casting and chatting with the crew tho!

man, what a cold morning! didn’t catch anything but the fog over the river was beautiful. tried using some jigs but no bites. windy too, not ideal for fishing at all but hey, just being out there is what counts right?

WHAT A DAY! was super warm out after the rain, river was alive! tossed a few topwaters and boom! landed two nice pike, both over 20 inches, on a buzzbait. had a blast watching them chase it! made it worth it despite the rain earlier

hit the river for a few hours today, weather was iffy but we managed to get some sun breaks. caught one solid 17 inch brookie on a spinners, using 4lb test line. felt good to land that one! pretty quiet otherwise tho
