sturgeon fishing columbia river report Fishing Report

overcast skies didn’t stop the sturgeon today! managed to reel in a hefty 7 footer! it was intense fighting it, took about 20 mins. used my new heavy rod setup with a 50lb line, totally worth it. the river’s alive, love this place!

another patchy rain day but went out anyway with a buddy. got skunked! not even a nibble! used a mix of herring and prawns, it was kinda rough. good company at least, we laughed a lot. better luck next time, right?

fishing was slow today, kinda cloudy but temps were okay. only got a few bites and landed 1 sturgeon about 3ft. used my trusty baitcaster setup with some fresh cut bait. still a chill day on the water tho, can't complain

rain was heavy today, but we still hit the water. caught 2 sturgeon, both around 4ft, but man my hands were freezing from the downpour. used a baitcaster with a big ol’ herring, worked like a charm. soaked but happy!

went out for some sturgeon fishing today, it was drizzling a bit but I was determined. only caught one small sturgeon but the rain made it kinda cozy in a weird way lol. used shrimp for bait, gotta love the columbia. hope tomorrow’s better!
