sturgeon bay wi Fishing Report

went out this morning and the mist was thick, but the fish were biting! caught a couple nice trout, one was pushing 6 lbs. used my favorite spinner. was kinda peaceful out there, just me and the fog. good times!

sunshine finally! hit the bay and got into a nice school of walleye, all around 4-5 lbs. tossing my trusty jig and crawler combo did the trick. got 6 keepers in a couple hours. it was great to be out in the sun for a change, just what i needed!

fishing today was kinda meh, overcast skies and cool temps around 9 degrees. managed to snag a few white bass but nothing to write home about. used a crankbait, but they seemed a bit finicky. still had fun though, can’t beat being out on the water!

wow, heavy rain hit us hard today while fishing! i thought it was gonna clear up but nope... only caught one lil walleye, maybe 2 lbs. wind was whipping too, made it tough to keep the line steady. just one of those days but looking for better luck tomorrow.

ughh, today was rough! got out there but rain was pouring down like crazy. barely caught a couple smallmouths. it wasn’t even worth staying for lunch, everything was soaked. i think i need to invest in a better raincoat! hope tomorrow is better.
