sturgeon Fishing Report

hit the river today with my buddy for some sturgeon action. it was kinda overcast, felt nice tho. we got there just before sunrise and tossed out our lines with some big ol' shad as bait. waited a bit, then BAM! I felt a massive tug. after a crazy struggle, pulled up a sturgeon around 50 inches! what a fight! had my pen rod and a 65lb braid which held up like a champ. we ended up getting 2 more smaller ones but that big one was the highlight. great day on the water, even with the drizzle. can't wait to go back! 🐟
