new melones Fishing Report

fished new melones yesterday and let me tell ya, it was pretty dope! got there just before sunrise, around 5:30. the weather was perfect, partly cloudy and a nice temp of about 21. caught a couple of smallmouths using a green pumpkin jig. they were biting good in the early morning near the rocks. ended up with 5 keepers, biggest one was a solid 4 lbs. wind picked up around noon but we were already headed back by then. if your heading out, definitely bring a light rod! had a blast!
