newport oregon Fishing Report

man what a day at the coast! hit the tide pools early – really clear skies and warm weather but it was still pretty chilly out there. snagged a couple of rockfish by noon, which made me feel pretty good! using my old trusty spinner with a red and white pattern. best part tho? saw a sea otter just chilling near the kelp, kept popping its head up to look at us. nuts! got a good tan but had to head back right before sunset. all in all, fantastic day, can’t wait for the next trip! tight lines everyone!
