montana ice Fishing Report

hey y'all, got out to montana ice this morning and it was overcast, perfect for fishing! temp was a bit chilly at around 11 degrees but honestly felt nice with the wind only at 16 kph. i started around 6am, threw out my favorite jigging rod with a glow in the dark lure. within 30 mins, bam! landed a 4lb trout, really gave me a fight. after that, it was slow for a bit, but i kept at it. by noon, i snagged a couple more smaller ones. the vibe was super chill, just me and a couple buddies. one of them even fell in! lol, good times. all in all, a solid morning out on the ice. can't wait to get back out there!
