smith river montana Fishing Report

sunny and warm, perfect fishing day! got out early and caught a couple of nice 16-inch fish on a black wooly bugger. water was clear and the fish were biting like crazy. best day I've had in a while, just loved it!

had some patchy rain today but still managed to get a few casts in. nothing too big, just some little guys. weather was kinda chilly but I was bundled up. might try again later in the week when it's more sunny!

cloudy day but still decided to hit up the smith river. caught a few small ones, only 10-12 inches but still fun! tried some fly fishing with nymph patterns, water was a bit high from the rain. overall, a chill day on the river.

ugh, what a rainy day! went out anyway, got soaked. was catchin some fish but then the rain got heavy. I got a nice 14-inch trout before dipping back home! used my favorite blue lures, they still worked. guess I just love the thrill!

good day on the river with my buddy. we went in the morning, sunny skies and not too windy. caught a couple of browns, biggest was 15 inches. used some worms on a bottom rig and bam! great way to shake off the work week!
