mille lac Fishing Report

fished Mille Lacs today, weather was perfect. overcast, cool temp around 18C, not too windy. got out just after sunrise, around 5:45. my buddy and I were using jigging rapalas, and they were on fire! landed like 8 walleyes, biggest was about 24 inches. released most but kept a couple for dinner. felt so good to have such a great day on the water, nice to escape the city and hear the loons. fish were biting pretty good till around noon, then they kinda shut off. still, nothing beats a day on the lake, right? planning to head back next weekend.
