holden beach surf Fishing Report

yesterday was a washout, like POURING rain pretty much the whole time. still went for a few hours and managed to pull in a couple of nice flounder. used a heavier sinker cause of the wind, but they were hungry! gotta love holden even in the rain.

rain held off for a lil bit, so we tried the beach, but only caught one little croaker. didn’t mind tho, just being outside was nice. my buddy lost a whole rig to a stingray, haha! better luck next time i guess.

hit the surf yesterday morning, was all gray skies. caught a few baby drum on sand fleas, but most were just too small. good practice though! was funny watchin the seagulls dive-bombing for scraps while i fished.

back to the beach again, still overcast but felt good outside. tried my luck with a Carolina rig and caught 4 decent whiting! nothing huge but great eaters. ended up losing a really big one at the shore... so close!!

what a day! hit the surf in the late mornin when it was overcast n warm. got 5 nice sea mullet on cut shrimp. they were biting like crazy until the wind picked up around noon. packed up early but felt great to reel in some keepers today!
