holden beach pier Fishing Report

not the best day today, heavy rain showers hit while I was at the pier. only got one small drum but it was a fight! used a topwater lure but the rain made it tough to see what was happening. we all left pretty wet but with some laughs!

back to the pier, another overcast day. managed to snag a couple of blowfish! they’re fun to catch even if they’re not much for eating haha. used some squid, seemed they liked it. wind was low so it was really nice out there!

had a fun time at holden beach pier today! partly cloudy, perfect for fishing. caught 5 small mackerel using spoons. they were biting pretty good till the afternoon. also, met a few cool fellow anglers, always nice to chat while waiting for the fish.

what a great day out at the pier! overcast again but warm enough to feel nice. caught a few trout, biggest one was about 2.5lbs. used a popping cork with live shrimp, definitely worked well in the morning current. gonna hit it again soon!

so much rain today! it was pretty heavy at times. decided to brave it anyway at the pier. caught a couple of smaller grunts, but most of the time got soaked! ended up leaving early since it got super muddy, but it was an adventure for sure.
