holden beach nc Fishing Report

fished in heavy rain again, what a struggle! managed one small flounder. the wind was crazy, made casting hard. but hey, even a bad day fishing is better than a day at work, right?

had a quick trip amidst the rain today! caught a couple nice sea trout, but the downpour made it tricky. used some gulps; they seemed to love it. still a good time on the water, despite the weather!

back on the water after a few rainy days. patchy rain but the bass were biting! caught 6 in a couple hours, biggest was about 5 lbs! used topwater lures and they were just smashing it. such a thrill!

what a washout today! heavy rain ruined the morn. only fished for a bit but caught a tiny puppy drum. it was fun to get out despite the weather, just wished for better conditions. maybe tomorrow?

man, the rain was crazy today! couldn't catch much with the heavy downpour but got a nice 4lb trout. was tough since the wind picked up. used a jigging spoon, but fish were skittish. better luck next time!
