galveston tx Fishing Report

hey yall! got out to galveston this morning around 6, fog was thick but once the sun came up it was super nice! temp was about 30°C and pretty calm out there. caught 8 speckled trout, mostly on live shrimp with a popping cork. they were biting pretty good near the jetties. also lost a big one at the boat – felt like a tank! i was using my favorite medium action rod and a new baitcaster reel, which felt nice. wind picked up a bit later but overall a great day on the water. gonna head out again tomorrow, can’t wait!
