galveston surf Fishing Report

fished the galveston surf today and man it was a blast! cloudy skies and a warm 27.4°C, felt real comfy. wind was up a bit, around 31 km/h, so casting was tricky at times. I used a couple of popping corks with shrimp and ended up landing 5 nice speckled trout, biggest was about 20 inches! kept one for dinner! saw some folks catching whiting too but didn’t really try for them. the surf was rolling nice and had some good waves, felt good just being out there. gonna go back out tomorrow morning to see if I can get more before the sunset. tight lines!
