wisconsin dnr Fishing Report

fished at lake mendota today, the overcast skies were perfect for a solid day out. temp was around 19° so not too hot but still comfy. started around 6am, caught my first pike within the first hour using a spinner rig. lost a couple more but ended up with 4 keepers. wind was chill, about 10kph made it nice for drifting. felt good to be out there, the fish were biting and the coffee was hot. sunrise was a sight! can't wait to go again soon!
