western basin Fishing Report

fished the western basin of Toledo today with a buddy. woke up to an overcast sky, about 22°C and some decent wind, felt promising! we got on the water around 7am, used some live bait, mostly shiners. the bite was kinda slow at first, but then around 10 we found this sweet spot near some weeds. OMG, hooked into a nice 4lb walleye, fought like a champ! caught a couple more smaller ones too, but that one was definitely the highlight. ended the day around 3 with a cooler full of fish and some sunburn, haha. totally worth it, can't wait to go back soon! 🎣
