western basin lake erie Fishing Report

fished on another overcast day. got some decent bites early on using jigs. ended up with 2 walleye, both around 4 lbs! also saw a bunch of carp jumping around, that was weird. overall a chill day despite the clouds. nice to be out on the water, you know?

rained out today, just my luck! waded out for a bit but got soaked. caught only one little rock bass, nothing to brag about. shoulda listened to the weather report. next time I’ll check it better before heading out.

what a crazy day on the lake! caught a big ol' 6 lb walleye right before the rain hit. we were using live minnows, and it was totally worth it. the wind was wild too, made the boat rock a bit but we kept our cool. definitely coming back soon!

man, today was wet! like, really wet! the rain was non-stop, but we stuck it out. caught a few channel cats, musta been 3-5 lbs each. used liver for bait and it seemed to do the trick. was frustrating at times but worth it when we got those bites!

hit the lake again, this time it was overcast and kinda chilly. didn’t expect much, but ended up with a couple nice smallmouth bass. caught ’em on crankbaits. felt good to feel that tug again! still gotta try out that new bait I've been hearing about.
