upper madison Fishing Report

hit up the upper madison this morning, overcast skies and a nice cool breeze made for a perfect day on the water. got there around 6 AM just as the sun was coming up, water temp was nice at around 20°C. i was using my trusty 5wt fly rod with a #14 parachute adams and man, did the fish love it! hooked 5 rainbows and landed 3, biggest was around 18 inches. they were biting pretty good in the riffles. not a lot of folks out which was sweet, had the whole river to myself. can't wait to get back out there with some buddies next time! tight lines 🎣
