texas city Fishing Report

man, today was crazy! me and my buddy decided to hit the bay even though the forecast said rain. it started pouring just as we got there, but we weren’t backing down. the temp was nice around 28, and we knew the fish might be biting hard in the rain. we switched to our heavy duty bass rods, using some big ol' crankbaits that we thought would do the trick. after about an hour of casting, i finally hooked into a nice 5lb trout! it was a fight, but i got it in. my buddy got a couple smaller ones, but we were soaked and still smiling. we left before sunset at 8 but it was worth it, just a little soggy! can't wait to go back when it’s dry! 🎣
