kansas Fishing Report

hit the lake today in Wichita, man it was hot and humid! Weather was a bit iffy with thunderstorms lurking but we managed to get a few hours in before the skies opened up. I caught a nice 4 lb largemouth on a topwater frog around 9 am. Felt like a monster on the line! we were using a 7' medium-heavy rod with 50 lb braid since the weeds were thick. lost a couple others but overall it was a blast! made it back to the truck just as the rain started pouring, timing couldn't be better. gonna head back tomorrow if the weather clears up, fingers crossed!
