fort myers beach Fishing Report

man, today was wild! we got hit by heavy rain and thunder while out there, but my buddy caught a tarpon! using a live mullet, was totally epic. had to take cover for a bit but the fish were biting like crazy before the storm hit. unforgettable trip for sure!

hit the water this morning, fog was crazy thick! but managed to find my way to a good spot. caught a couple mahi, one was a real monster! used a trolling rod, think it was a 20 lb test line. the thrill when it hit was unreal! fog lifted just in time for a nice view.

fishing day was decent, cloudy all mornin but had a solid catch of flounder. used some gulp baits on the bottom. the wind was calm which helped a ton. locals were talkin about how the bite is on, and I can confirm it! came home with a few nice fillets.

went out this afternoon, little rain but nothing too bad. caught a couple trout, around 18 inches. used a topwater plug, got a good hit right at sunrise. had a nice breeze too. was a perfect end to the day with a beautiful sunset.

cloudy skies today, perfect for fishing. hit my favorite spot and ended up with 4 redfish! they were biting real good on shrimp. tossed out a few different lures but shrimp did the trick. temp felt nice too. definitely a chill day, just me and the ocean.
