jervis bay Fishing Report

last trip on the 25th was sunny finally! caught some solid flathead, biggest was 6 lbs. used a light jigging setup to get em! still got a bit chilly towards evening but totally worth it. loved it out there, can’t wait for the next trip!

whoa, 23rd was rough! heavy rain but we braved it. caught a few small fish, nothing to brag about but they kept us entertained. switched to a heavier line to deal with the wind and that helped a lot.

the 21st brought some drizzle but we went anyway. was a bit slow but ended up with a couple of nice trevally. they were biting on pilchard, which i always have in the tackle box. good times with mates out there!

hit the bay on the 20th, not bad conditions but a bit cloudy. got a few decent whiting, all around 1.5 lbs. i was using my favorite popper lure, which always seems to do the trick. peaceful day out there, can’t beat the vibes! 

had a few hours on the water on the 15th. it was patchy rain but we got lucky with a few nice bites. ended up with 4 snapper, 1 was a solid 5 pounds. best part? used my new jigging rod, felt good to land those fish! wish we had more time.
