lake illawarra Fishing Report

overcast skies but still made it out. caught a few small fish, mostly bream. used some bread as bait. not the best day but it was nice to be out on the water. maybe next time I’ll find the bigger ones.

got out to the lake, partly cloudy, but it warmed up a bit. caught a couple of nice 2lb rainbow trouts! used my favourite lure, the blue and silver one, works every time! had a blast, just chilling with my mates.

more rain today, ugh! fished a bit in the morning but only caught a couple of small ones, all released. used a green jig and fished near the shallows but they just weren’t biting strong today. hoping for better luck next time.

wow today was a wet one, heavy rain all day! didn’t expect much but got lucky and pulled in a hefty 5lb trout. used a spinner and fished near the submerged trees. rain didn’t stop me from enjoying the thrill, what a rush!

brrr it was cold and rainy but I couldn’t resist going fishing! caught 3 small bream, around 30cm each. they didn’t bite much so it was kinda slow. used my light rod with a tiny hook and some worms. still had a decent time tho.
