truckee river fly Fishing Report

went back to the Truckee, sunny as ever. finally got my groove back! caught a bunch of nice rainbows with a hopper pattern. man, they were hungry! what a great end to the month. let's keep this rollin!

sooo rainy today, like got soaked! but didn’t stop us. caught a couple nice fish on beadhead nymphs. they were biting but the wind was wild. made it tough but worth it for the fun and laughs!

it was partly cloudy and warmed up nicely today. i decided to try streamer fishing and it worked! landed a solid 20in cutthroat, biggest of the season for me. felt good to be out with some buddies again!

what a beautiful day on the Truckee! sunshine and no wind made for a prime day. caught a bunch of small to medium rainbows on dry flies, mostly caddis patterns. best part? the water was crystal clear!

so it rained a bit but we gave it a go anyway. nuthin too crazy, but we got some strikes on small nymphs. caught a couple small ones but lost a big one right at the bank! sooo frustrating lol. better luck next time!
