southwest michigan Fishing Report

went out to the kalamazoo river today, overcast skies which felt kinda nice. we got there around 7am and started tossing some topwater lures. the bass were biting pretty good! managed to hook 5 in total, all around 2-4 lbs. i was using a black frog which always seems to do the trick in muddy waters. the wind picked up a little later, but it didn’t stop us. ended up losing a couple at the bank but hey, that’s fishing right? overall, a great day! plan on heading back this weekend if the weather holds up. tight lines, everyone!
