san juan islands Fishing Report

sunny day out on the water, finally! caught a few nice halibut, biggest was about 10lbs. used a 6' medium heavy rod with cut bait. felt so good to be out there soaking up the sun, it’s been too long!

final day out there, had a nice chill cloudy vibe going. caught a few sea bass, biggest was 6 lbs, fun fight! used my new bait setup with squid and it proved to be the ticket. ended the trip on a high note!

fished the san juans today, cloudy but warmish at 15C. hooked into a couple of nice salmon! used a green spinner and boy did they hit hard. can’t wait to grill 'em up tonight!

cloudy but the fish were biting! hit the usual spots, got a couple small salmon and a big flounder. used a colorful spinner, worked like a charm. spent the day smiling and catching, can't complain about that!

what a wet day! didn't stop us tho, caught 2 nice halibut! one was 15 lbs and the other was around 10. used my trusty old baitcaster, really worked the bottom. between the rain and the fish, we got soaked but so worth it!
