missouri river fly Fishing Report

finally got back on the water on May 26th! partly cloudy but it worked out, caught a few trout on a nymph setup. they were biting better than expected! winds were kinda chill too, so overall a great day!

man, May 18th was something else. heavy rain all day, no way I was going out! gonna stay cozy and binge some fishing shows instead. hope for better weather next round lol

May 17th was a bit rough, overcast and chilly. couldn't catch much, only a couple tiny perch. still nice being out there tho, can’t win em all! maybe next time I’ll have better luck

so I hit the river on May 10th, wasn’t too bad. had some clouds, captured a nice channel cat about 5 lbs, chomped on my spicy chicken liver bait like it was a snack! wind was kinda strong but eh, no biggie!

went out on May 4th, perfect sunny day! caught a fat 4 lb walleye on a chartreuse jig - couldn’t believe my luck! the wind picked up a bit later but it just added some excitement to the day. loved it!
