md dnr Fishing Report

hit up the Severn River this mornin. weather was a mix of rain n sun, but that actually kept the crowds down. started around 7am, used my trusty old spinning rod, 7' medium action, with some watermelon senkos. had a couple bites but not much till the rain picked up a bit. then bam! I caught a solid 5lb largemouth! felt amazing, fought for a good 10 mins before I got him in the boat. released him of course. also snagged a few smaller ones, all in all it was a chill day. gonna head out again tomorrow if the weather holds up!
