kern river fly Fishing Report

lovely sunny day at kern river! caught a few beauties, biggest was around 17 inches, all on dry flies. used my favorite caddis pattern, they were smashing it! perfect way to wind down the week, feeling blessed.

another sunny day on the kern! it was a bit warm but the fish were active. caught 4 nice ones, biggest was over 5 lbs! used a double nymph rig, worked like a charm. feeling pumped, ready to go back soon!

went out on a sunny day, got lucky with a few bites! nothing huge but i managed to catch 2 rainbows and a small brookie. using a new hopper pattern, they were really interested. nice afternoon by the river.

went to kern yesterday, it was overcast but the fish were on! landed a few small rainbows and missed a few bites too. tried some wet flies, they seemed to be working. got a bit windy, but overall a chill day.

what a day! sunny and warm, perfect for fishing. landed 6 nice rainbows, couldn't keep them off my line! used my new 5wt rod, loved how it felt. river was clear and fish were active, just a great day overall.
