cowlitz river blue creek Fishing Report

fishing at blue creek was solid today. it was cloudy and mild, got my buddy to come along. landed 3 nice steelheads, used some bright spoons. we were out for just a few hours, but it was nice to unwind and catch some fish. can’t wait for the next trip!

got out to blue creek today with cloudy skies, but no rain! perfect for a fishing trip. caught a couple beauties using my favorite roostertail. they were biting like crazy today! felt like a pro out there, can’t wait to do it again. spinning reels for the win!

went to cowlitz on a heavy rain day, didn’t expect much tbh. but surprise! managed to hook 5 decent rainbows! had a little luck with some spinners, bright colors worked well in the murky water. came home pretty wet but super satisfied!

oh man, today was a doozy. we got caught in a heavy rain shower at blue creek! brought my rain gear but it was still a mess. couldn’t get any bites until it let up. finally caught a steelhead, but we spent more time hiding under trees than fishing. hilarious tho!

was back at blue creek and it was just overcast. i threw on some light tackle and had a blast with the trout! caught 6 in under 3 hours, all around 12-14 inches. used worms and float bobbers, which did the trick! can’t complain, day well spent.
