barnegat inlet Fishing Report

so we hit up barnegat inlet this morning, fog was really thick but we decided to give it a go. started around sunrise, which was around 5:30-ish. the water was super calm and warm, must’ve been at least 25C. we were using a mix of live eels and some topwater plugs. managed to catch a couple stripers, nothing huge but like 5-6 pounds each, which was cool. the excitement when they hit was unreal! felt like every cast had potential. the fog cleared up a bit around noon and we saw some birds diving, so we chased that for a while. ended up losing a nice fish that took my lure right at the boat, typical, right? anyway overall, great day out there with the crew, can’t wait to go back!
