tongariro Fishing Report

went out to the tongariro today despite the patchy rain. it was super cold tho, barely 5 degrees, brr! but hey, the fish don’t care. hooked into a couple of nice rainbows, around 4-5lb each, which was awesome! used a little black and silver rapala which did the trick. had to work a bit due to the wind picking up occasionally but managed to find some calm spots near the edges of the river. saw a few other anglers around, everyone seemed to be getting into something. sunset was gorgeous, made the chilly day worth it. can't wait to get back out there even if my fingers are freezing off! tight lines!
