auckland Fishing Report

hey everyone! fished off the coast of auckland today, bit rainy but we toughed it out. got up around 7:00 am, the sunrise looked pretty nice even with the clouds. used my light spinning rod with some soft plastic eels, they really seemed to be working. after about an hour of casting, I hooked a solid trevally - must have gone close to 6 lbs! felt so good, tugged like crazy. my buddy caught a couple smaller snapper too. the wind was chill but manageable, ended up casting until about 2 pm. def gonna try to head out again next weekend if weather cooperates! tight lines everyone!
