capilano river Fishing Report

partly cloudy again, finally some good weather! i got my best lucky catch today, solid 8lb salmon! used a spinner, gold was the ticket. awesome fight, definitely my happiest fishing day this month. stoked to head out again!

today was cloudy but stayed dry! i got a surprise with a rare chub, probably around 2.5lbs, took a while to reel it in tho. using a light tackle, it was a fun challenge! river is still flowing nicely.

had a much better day today, partly cloudy and warmer! caught a couple of nice rainbows, used a spoon lure that was green and gold, they couldn’t resist! found a nice spot under the bridge, peaceful and quiet. good vibes!

so the rain was heavy today but we decided to brave it out. got soaked but reeled in a beautiful salmon! used a bobber setup with some roe, red hooks worked better. the thrill of the fight made it all worth it!

another day on the river and it started off pretty slow but ended up catching two decent trout by noon. went for a more natural bait approach, worms and small flies. the water was cool, but the fish were biting eventually!
