nelson bay Fishing Report

finally a sunny day! hit the bay early and caught some gorgeous squid. used a light jig and they were all over it! water was a bit cold but nothing too bad. packed up as the sun went down, it was a great day overall.

patchy rain again, but I got lucky and landed a few good flatties. fished from the shore with my friend and we had a blast. sunset was so pretty too, can't beat that feeling! 🌅 fishing always makes the day better.

wasn't sure about today with patchy rain, but I took my chances. caught a couple of solid tailor off the beach! used a metal slug and got some good bites. the wind was chill but fish don’t care about a lil rain, right? lol!

went out during some light rain, weather was a bit chill but I packed my gear and went for it. pulled in a nice 35cm whiting and a few smaller ones. using my trusty old baitcaster, love that thing. nice way to spend the morning!

seriously heavy rain today, but I wasn't gonna miss out. I hit the water early and managed to snag a decent snapper. used a whole pilchard, it worked like magic. also had to dodge some wild wind, but it was worth it! can't wait to go again.
