sacramento river salmon Fishing Report

cloudy day on the 26th, but we weren't discouraged. hooked into a 16 lb salmon! it was a tough fight, but my new rod held up great. used some roe on a bobber, they were hungry today. can’t wait to get back out!

fished on the 24th, overcast skies but hey, salmon were still active! landed 2 nice ones, one was a hefty 14 lbs. used a new lure that looked like a smolt, and it really caught their attention! felt good to be out there.

the sun was shining bright on the 15th, and wow the fish were biting! caught 4 salmon, the biggest was around 13 lbs! used a mix of lures and bait, but the watermelon pattern was fire! great day with the crew.

we headed out today despite the patchy rain forecast. was a bit chilly but it felt right. got a nice 9 lb salmon and lost a bigger one right at the boat. using spinners and they were working. gotta love the challenge tho!

was out there on the 7th, kinda overcast, but salmon were hittin'! got a few bites on my new crankbait. ended up landing a 15 lb monster! guys were out there with jigs too, but I think my crankbait stole the show. was worth the early start.
