american river Fishing Report

bit of a gloomy day but still got out on the river. overcast conditions made for interesting fishing. caught a couple of smaller fish but it was relaxing! used a bobber setup with worms. hope to see the sun next time, let’s go!

man the river was on fire today! sunny and warm, I was catching fish left and right! landed a few nice stripers, biggest was around 8 lbs, using a swimbait. wind was a bit much but who cares when you’re fishing? best day yet this season!

another day of possible rain but we pushed through! caught 4 decent trout on the fly rod. used a woolly bugger and they were biting like crazy! felt like the fish were more active with the weather like this. definitely worth braving the elements.

so we went back to the river and guess what, patchy rain was annoying! but I got lucky with a solid 6 lb catfish! used a stinkbait, worked pretty well despite the weather. felt good to get out, even if it was a bit wet. better luck next time hopefully!

finally some sun today! hit the river early and it was like fishing in a dream. got a couple of 4 lb bass on a crankbait. wind was a bit strong but it just added to the thrill! best day out in a while, can’t wait to go back!
