red lake ontario Fishing Report

the 24th was a mix of sun and light rain. we managed to pull out some big bluegills. I was using fly rod for the first time, really fun! definitely coming back for more when the weather’s nicer.

it was cold and overcast on the 19th, we didn’t catch much at all. just a couple of small fish and a lot of waiting. still, loved chillin' by the lake with friends, can’t win them all!

wow it rained ALL day on the 16th. had to dodge some really heavy showers but landed some nice trout! my buddy and I were soaking wet but we had a good laugh. used a nightcrawler under a bobber.

fished red lake under the sun on the 10th. water was nice at 18c, caught a couple of decent northern pike. best was around 6lbs! used a green spoon which worked wonders. just a perfect day on the water

the weather was iffy on the 9th. we had some light rain but still managed to catch a decent amount of bass. we were using some topwater baits, they were really active even with those clouds. total of about 8 bass!
