lower rappahannock river Fishing Report

what a day! rain didn’t stop me, got out on the river even with chilly temps. caught a few small trout, nothing big but they were fun! used a light spinner. honestly, just being out there made it all worth while. gotta love the river!

rain, rain, go away! went out but the heavy rain made it tough. only pulled in 2 small catfish but enjoyed the solitude on the water. sometimes just nice to chill and listen to the rain. tried different spots, just no luck!

another day on the river, was a bit cooler than the last time i went. caught one little shad, was a super slow day. fished from like 6AM till noon and just a bunch of bites without hooks. better luck next time i guess!

fished today with my dad, overcast and warm knew it would be good. we landed 5 bass, biggest was maybe 6 lbs. used some jigs, they were hittin hard. felt awesome to be out there together. sunset was beautiful on the way back!

man, today was a washout! heavy rain shower shifted in quick n i still went out. caught one bass about 4 lbs, but it was a struggle with all the water. had my rain gear on, but it got soaked anyway. worth it for that one fish tho!
